Stainless Steel Mica Ring Heater Element has the characteristics of reasonable structure, beautiful appearance, stable performance, uniform heating, quick heat dissipation, long service life, good insulation performance and high pressure resistance.
The surface load of mica band heater is normally 2.5-3 watts per square centimeter. Customers should adopt automatic temperature control system according to the required power range to maintain normal power and protect the service life of the mica band heater.
Using stainless steel and mica as raw materials, custom mica band heater is not limited by the size in the production, mica band heater can not only be used for small nozzle heating, but also can be used for plastic machine gun barrel heating.
Mica insulated band heater specifically designed and engineered to meet the ever increasing demand for energy conservation and to improve operation efficiency. The mica heater is capable of generating the higher temperatures essential to process today's high temperature resins.
When replacing a mica band heater assure that the barrel or nozzle is free of material, smooth and clean. A rough spot or foreign material on the barrel can greatly reduce the life of your mica band heater. Air will not conduct the heat away from your heater as fast as the metal of the barrel. This results in a spot on the heater where the temperature will be significantly hotter than the rest of the heater. Just a 0.005″ air gap on a typical 30 watts per square inch heater will cause that spot to run 250 degrees (F) hotter!

Mica heater bands can be made into many combinations, and are constructed similarly to the Thinband – with the exception of the following:
The inner metal strip folds over to the outer diameter of the band.
The leads are attached during the assembly of the core layers.
The construction is thicker than a Thinband, and does not allow the flexibility for opening to the full length of the band.
